A high scar as you have is very difficult or impossible to move much. It may be best to just consider liposuction to remove some of the extra fat. It is almost impossible to say much without a good examination, but you may not be a good candidate for much more than liposuction at this point.
I would suggest starting with liposuction to remove the excess fat. Renuvion for more skin tightening can be added at the same time and through the same incisions.
hello, thank you for the question and the pics. Indeed your scar is too high, however, that will not lower with a simple procedure, you would probably either have to use a tissue expander, or make two or three scar revisions to be able to lower it little by little until it reaches the correct placement. The rest is merely fat, that can readily be address using liposuction, including the excess fat on your mons
HelloSince your tummy tuck incision is quite high, a revision wouldn’t offer significant improvement. Even if skin removal is considered, it can only be done from the lower part of the incision, right above the pubic area. I recommend combining abdominal fat reduction with Vaserlipo and skin tightening with Renuvion J Plasma in the same session for optimal results.
Depending on the amount of subcutaneous fat that is present you may be able to have liposuction to improve the contour of the upper abdomen. The scar is a bit high but I'm not sure how much you can expect to lower it. I encourage you to speak to your surgeon to discuss your concerns and learn more about your options.
To make an accurate assessment regarding the outcome of any plastic surgery procedure we usually need to see a complete set of proper before and after pictures. If you don’t have before, and after pictures, then ask your surgeon to forward the pictures they took. Most people who have significant skin redundancy after weight loss, or previous pregnancies will have it in a both horizontal and vertical direction.A tummy tuck will only treat skin in a vertical direction and does not address horizontal skin laxity.Individuals who have substantial skin laxity, may therefore benefit from an extended tummy tuck or a fleur du lys pattern. Your scar is a bit high. Did you see lots of before and after pictures of previous patients treated by your provider? Those patients have lower scars? If you don’t like the horizontal skin lack city, then you could add a fleur du lys or vertical scar.In my opinion, the scar is not aesthetically desirable. It may be possible to lower this car a slight bit, but you’re not going to have enough skin laxity to lower it more than an inch, most likely. Follow up with your provider or schedule in person second opinion consultations with other plastic surgeons in your community. For second opinion consultations come prepared bringing with you a complete set of proper before and after pictures and copies of your previous operative report. These are part of your medical record and you can request them from your current provider.Best,Mats Hagstrom MD
Dear Gentle703684, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper...
You did not post any photos, so I cannot be specific. The Z-plasty heals in the shape of the Z and helps lengthen the compressed area.
I would first suggest getting an ultrasound to check for fluid. Once your have reached your goal weight, then a revision can be done. If fluid is present, it will need to be drained and the walls of the cavity removed.
