Uneven scar, loose skin and asymmetry after tummy tuck. What are my options? (Photo)

The bad news is that there was too little skin removed. The good news is that a revision surgery can not only properly tighten your abdominal skin, but also substantially lower your incision to where it will be far more inconspicuous. Please see a body contouring expert to get a great result.

Not every revision surgery has to be done in the same way. Liposuction should be a part of it as well as more aggressive skin excision. In person second opinion consultation(s) with other board certified plastic surgeo(s) is usually the best approach to a safe and predictable result. Good luck.

Just based on your photos, you needed the vertical component and the extended instead of just the regular tummy tuck. Go back to your surgeon and discuss your options. You are not 'botched", just not completed.

Though you are still early in the healing process it appears likely that a revision will benefit you. There is still too much laxity which could be further improved. Typically you will want to wait 9-12 months from your surgery before proceeding with a revision. Meet with a board certified plastic surgeon near you to learn more.

Hello; It has only been 2 months; since the surgery. It is still too early for you; to have another surgery. Because, the wound healing under the skin; is still continuing. Also, the subdermal vascular connections are continuing to form. Therefore, whether you desire for it or not, you have to wait; at least, 4 more months. While the first photo indicates for a very good result from the surgery, the following photos show that; there is an excessive skin excess; in the lower abdomen field. You will probably need to have another surgery. What can be done; will be determined by the condition of your upper abdominal laxity; after 6 months period.

My best guess is you have, a significant amount of skin laxity most likely from previous weight loss.
Most likely you needed a much more extensive (wrap around aka extended or 360 type) tummy tuck or potentially add a vertical scar a.k.a. fleur de lys type tummy tuck,
All people will have skin redundancy in a sitting position.
You can’t have a tight abdomen when sitting if you want to be able to stand up straight.
Most people who develop significance skin laxity from weight loss will have skin laxity in a vertical and horizontal direction.
Standard tummy tuck only removes skin laxity in a vertical direction.
This can potentially leave individuals with residual skin laxity in a horizontal direction and on the sides and back.
I suggest scheduling a few in person second opinion consultations with other plastic surgeons in your community.
I generally do not recommend people travel, long distances for elective surgical procedures.
