Dear doctors, I am planning to do my facelift and my doctor is based in USA while I live in Dubai. After the d'surgery doctor will see le twice then he will be travelling. I would like to know if I will need to see a doctor for check ups and after how long from my operation. I also would like to clarify how I can ask for medical report to keep track of my procedure done in case I need to réfère to another surgeon for any reason. And if that is ok to ask for medical report.
Answer: Abroad surgery Hello, thank you for your question. We serve patients from all the world, usually two week stay and follow up photos and discussion take place virtually. Speak to your Surgeon about your concern. Sometimes you do need to come back for touch up or if there is additional concern. Answer: Follow up after face lift surgery Travelling a significant distance for surgery does come with some risks, Although you should be completely safe from any major complications after two post operative visits for your face lift surgery, we do not judge our results until many months later. Some minor issues will inevitably arise and it is nice to have the option of following up for reassurance after the procedure is performed. Although your surgeon will be travelling in the short term, he or she will likely be back in their office for further follow up if necessary over the long term. Your operative records are yours!

Answer: Facelift check ups Thank you for your question regarding follow ups after having a facelift. I would recommend speaking to your doctor directly about his or her follow up schedule after this procedure. It will vary from doctor to doctor. In my practice, I like to see my patients several 5-10 times in the first year after a facelift, depending on the patient. You will be able to request your medical record from your surgeon. Hope this helps!

Answer: Well I need to see a doctor for checkups after getting a facelift It is imperative to have follow ups with your surgeon for the first 10 days after the surgery, not some other doctor. This is especially important, since you're flying in from out of the country. If your surgeon is unavailable, reschedule with him/her when they is available to be in town for 10 days with you, or find another surgeon. In our practice, patients follow up with us and a minimum of four- five times in the first 10 days after the surgery
