Answer: It varies Where to place the hair line varies by patient. You need to look at the degree of hair loss, the availability of donor hair and the goals of the patient. The idea is create a hair line that will not only look good now but also in the future as you still may continue to lose hair. By putting the hair line too low you can end up with an island of hair if your hair loss progresses. The only way to tell where to place a hair line is by physical exam. Make an appointment with a reputable surgeon to see what is best for you. Good luck
