We know that stopping smoking is not easy for the patients and this is why we recommend to consume not more than 5 cigarettes per day if the patient can not stop. I wish you all the best.
The truth is: There are no studies documenting deleterious effects of marijuana to hair restoration. On the other hand, cigarette smoke does have negative effects of newly transplanted hair. There is a reduced blood flow to the grafts of heavy smokers.
How can I advise you on something that may be harmful to your healing. Any smoking after a hair transplant reduces the blood flow to the scalp. Your call, of course.
I recommend that you stop smoking until you are done with your post op medications. Once you are healed and you do not take your pain medications, you can return to your normal routine.
