Hello! I've asked questions before, and a apparently a decent candidate for this procedure. However- i kno you prefer weight stabilize? What is too much of a recent weight fluctuation? -- I was 270 plus, pre-gstric sleeve in 2017. I made it to (lowest weight 164), bounced up a tad to 175 and tht was my weight in January 2023. I'm down to 162. Not trying to lose any additional, but should i maintain this for 6 months or am i fine to start getting consultations? 39 yrs 5'5"
Answer: Weight stabilization Congratulations on your impressive weight loss! Generally you want your weight to be stable for about six months prior to having surgery in order to optimize your results. Fluctuations within a ten pound range are fine. I've included a video on plastic surgery after major weight loss that I hope you find helpful.

Answer: Thank you for your question! If you have reached your goal weight you could definitely move forward, however, if you are still fluctuating a lot in between I would suggest her first stabilize it in order for it to not affect your outcome. However, if it’s no more than 10 pounds. Give or take. I think you’re ready to begin your process. You’re next to a candidate. And I’m sure you’ll have great results!

Answer: Body Lift after recent weight Loss Thank you for your query. Generally it is best to let the weight loss stabilise for six months to one year before getting a lower body lift. However, in your specific situation, if you are not likely to gain or loose more weight, and since you are already several years post bariatric surgery, a body lift procedure may be reasonable at this stage. Please find an experienced Board certified Plastic surgeon who can examine you and help you with all your concerns. All the best!

Answer: Preparing for Body Lift Consultations After Weight Loss Dear Jubilant2973, Congratulations on your impressive weight loss. That's amazing. Based on the pictures you've shared and your weight history, you appear to be an excellent candidate for a body lift. Generally, I advise my patients to have a stable weight for at least three months prior to a body lift consultation. This is to ensure that your body has fully adjusted to your new weight and to increase the likelihood of achieving the best possible outcome from the surgery. Given that your current weight is stable and you're not actively trying to lose more, I'd say you're in a good position to start your consultation journey. Do note, however, that every surgeon may have slightly different protocols or preferences. I recommend starting to schedule consultations to discuss your specific goals and expectations. This is a wonderful opportunity to explore your options and to get a sense of how each surgeon can help you achieve the results you're after. Remember, it's essential to find a surgeon who makes you feel comfortable and confident in your decision. The journey to a body lift is a big one, and it's important that you feel well-informed and supported every step of the way. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen

Answer: Am I still a good candidate for a body lift after recent weight loss? Should I start my consultation journey? Congrats on your weight loss! It's always best to arrive at your ideal weight prior to body contouring procedures. Based on limited photos - it appears that it is a good time to start your post weight loss reconstruction journey. In the right hands -I predict - you can expect a dramatic transformation. I suggest that you seek an experienced Board Certified PS and discuss your options during in person exam
