important to remember that a board certified plastic surgeon will be your best
resource when it comes to an accurate assessment of your situation, and
concerns.

Having said that, you could consider some scar treatments from prescription
ointments, silicone sheeting, taping the incisions with steri-strips, or
steroid tape. All of these have been shown to be beneficial.

You are wise to be careful about irritation of the scar. I think that friction or irritation along a scar line may be deleterious. However, pressure or compression may actually be beneficial. Discuss your specific concerns with your plastic surgeon who will always be your best resource when it comes to specifics.  Best wishes for an outcome that you will be very pleased with long-term.
