I want to get coolsculpting around my knees and I also want to do laser treatment of the same area for spider veins. Should I do the coolsculpting first and then the laser treatment or vice versa? Do I need to separate the 2 treatments by any length of time? I'm just treating small purplish spider veins, no large varicose veins.
Answer: CoolSculpting and Spider Vein Treatment? CoolSculpting Doesn’t Affect Veins I’ve been performing CoolSculpting for about five years and have not encountered any instance when it caused increased vascularity. In my opinion, you could do either procedure first, depending on which issue you’d like resolved more quickly. Be sure to consult a board-certified dermatologist who is an expert in both CoolSculpting and laser vein therapy; he or she may have a preference about how to order the procedures based on past success.

Answer: Coolsculpting and spider veins Hi,Although there is not a specific protocol, it is best to start with your Coolsculpting treatment first and then follow up with your vein treatment. Coolsculpt uses a suction technique to grab the fat tissue, which could potentially cause new spider veins to show or existing to worsen. I recommend partnering up with your local service provider to determine how many Coolsculpt treatments and spider vein treatments you will need to achieve your desired goal. Good luck!

Answer: CoolSculpting Treatment Hello,Thank you for your question. It may be best to treat with CoolSculpting first. You may need more than one treatment of CoolSculpting in that area. Please consult with a local physician in person to determine the best course of action. The vein treatment should be done at a different appointment once your CoolSculpting results are as desired. Good luck!

Answer: Coolsculpting and spider vein treatment for legs? In my practice, we really need to evaluate the patient to see what type of fat reduction treatment is best. Sometimes it is coolsculpting or Vaser lipo. But there are also slimming/tightening options of ThermiSmooth (non invasive radiofrequency) and skin tightening options of ThermiTight (minimally invasive radiofrequency). We often think that layering these techniques gives the best result. We encourage "Fire and Ice" with ThermiSmooth (heat), immediately followed by Coolsculpting, immediately followed by acoustic massage for the best results. The leg veins should probably be evaluated afterward for most of our patients.

Answer: Coolsculpting & Spider Vein Treatment--Add Radiofrequency, Thermage, Vanquish, Venus Legacy, Exilis Ultra, VASER, ThermiRF I recommend getting a formal evaluation to determine the right timeline for you. It may be best to have Coolsculpting first. It will take 3-6 months for final results with Coolsculpting. Keep in mind, for best results with Coolsculpting, a combination approach is needed and some people need more than one treatment. I recommend adding radiofrequency treatments like Vanquish for skin tightening and with Z wave/Cellutone for skin smoothing. However, a Vaser with ThermiRF procedure is the best combination for a toned result, but requires more downtime. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
