Body sculpting can be achieved with Coolsculpting alone, or in combination with tissue tightening and skin toning therapies such as Liposuction, Exilis Multiplane Tissue Tightening, Venus Legacy, Hidef Fractional laser, and the Brazilian Cellulite Treatment with Stretch Mark Laser. I would use Coolsculpting to address excess fat deposits as it is non-invasive tool that can re-establish body proportions to improve your body silhouette. We specialize in Hidef Liposuction options and Coolsculpting in our office, depending on a carefully curated protocol. Best, Dr. KaramanoukianRealself100 Surgeon
The patented cryolipolysis technique developed by Zeltiq for their fat-elimination CoolSculpting techniques disrupt the function of fat cells by lowering their temperature enough to send them into a slow death cycle known as apoptosis. While we cannot count the number of fat cells that are killed, we can measure in inches how much fat existed before treatment and how much is left after treatment. When examining large numbers of people in clinical trials, it was discovered that each CoolSculpting treatment killed about 20% to 25% of fat cells. This has been documented with ultrasound studies looking at the thickness of the fatty layer before and after treatment. I’ve since been able to increase those numbers by adding in a session of Zimmer Z-Wave radial pulsed therapy. This often eliminates up to 35% of fat in a single session. While no therapy can ever be “guaranteed,” all of the thousands of patients I’ve treated with CoolSculpting have been satisfied or even thrilled with their results. You may need more than one treatment; some men and women require up to three sessions to get their ideal figures. Please find a board-certified dermatologist who is an expert with CoolSculpting; that’s the best guarantee you can find.
I have performed CoolSculpting since it became FDA cleared close to a decade ago. It has worked very well for most of those patients whom I have considered good candidates after meeting with them in consultation and examining them. As with any procedure, especially one in which we are depending on the body's host inflammatory and immune response to process the damaged fat cells, there may be a substantial range of results, and therefore, no guarantee of results can be given. Usually there is a series of two or three treatments needed, two months apart. I have seen less than one handful of patients in all the cases I've done that did not respond to the CoolSculpting. The CoolAdvantage technology that was an update has improved our results even better.
Hello,Thank you for submitting your question in regards to CoolSculpting. On average you are looking at about a 20-25% reduction in the pocket that the applicator is applied to. For those that carry more volume we will usually recommend a secondary treatment for more visible results. Results aren't guaranteed, there are those patient's that don't respond but the majority of our clients have had fantastic results. I would recommend having a customized consultation with a service provider in your area.
Hello,Thank you for your question. CoolSculpting can remove 25%-35% of fat cells in a treatment area on average. Unfortunately we can't measure the exact amount of fat cells each patient looses and we can't guarantee any results. We can however, share our previous before and after images to show you the type of results we achieve. If you decide to move forward with your treatment your treating physician should take before and after photos of you so that you can see how effective the treatment was. Good luck!
Hello and thank you for your questions. There are no guarantees regarding any specific cosmetic surgical treatment which is what you should seek out a qualified practitioner with experience in these procedures. Within in person consultation they can let you know if you're a good candidate for this procedure. If you seek out a qualified board certified plastic surgeon who has expertise with this procedure they can also let you know if you are a candidate for any surgical options. Best of luck.
Great question....Can coolsculpting guarantee results? Coolsculpting will destroy 25% of the fat cells in the area. The best candidate should have pinchable fat. Not every one is a candidate for coolsculpting and the reality is one cycle may not be enough you may need 2 even up to 3 depending on the area being treated.
you are guaranteed to lose fat cells if you are an appropriate candidate and the procedure is done properly. a single treatment can destroy up to 25% of the fat cells in a given area
There is no way to know how many individual fat cells will be eliminated. The average reduction in fat is approximately 20-30% with each treatment. Results are reliable and reproducible and the majority of my patients are pleased with the results.
Coolsculpting is a great technology for eliminating fat cells. It works for pinchable fat and any area of your body can be treated. One session can slim about 20% of fat. Nobody can measure or count your fat cells. In my practice I take pictures before coolsculpting treatment so patients can see the difference.
Hyperpigmentation can occur following cosmetic procedures. It sounds like you have tried a lot of things. I would not recommend another laser to try to improve this. I would recommend a compounded cream with a combination of hydroquinone and Kojic acid and retin-A...
Swelling and soreness is very normal following a CoolSculpting treatment, even after a few weeks. It takes a few weeks to months for the fat cells to die after being frozen by the treatment. Exercise helps the circulation, but if you are noticing it aggravates the swelling, just reduce your a...
Sorry to hear of your experience. Gastrointestinal issues are not known to be associated with CoolSculpting in any way. CoolSculpting targets subcutaneous fat, located just below the dermis and does not affect any other tissues or organs. There are several reasons you could be experiencing those...
