Greetings, thanks for asking if age is a matter for BBL. As long as your overall health is good and you prove to be a good candidate, 56 years is not too old to have a BBL. To know if your a good candidate you must have an expert consultation... The typical areas to be harvested for the fat injection are usually: abdomen, flanks, lower and upper back and the arms. So body counturing is a plus of getting the BBL... Hope this help's you on your questions.
Thank you for your question. As long as you're in good health and have an stable weight within the safe range you are a good candidate for a BBL. When planning a Brazilian butt lift, patients can look forward to a double benefit: reducing areas of unwanted fat while gaining a perkier, rounded posterior. Each procedure must be planned according to the individual needs of patients, harvesting fat from target areas of the torso, thighs or knees and transferring it to create smooth, attractive contours optimized for each person. That said, you definitely have to choose your surgeon correctly and make sure that he/she has the training and experience to meet your goals with absolute safety. Best is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with specialized expertise in this procedure.
Thanks for your question, Varshae! No, 56 is not too old for a BBL. If a lot of fat is placed and the skin is of poor elastic quality, it may drop. Please always consult with a board certified plastic surgeon.Take care, Moises Salama M.D., Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
One of my patients four years was 72 years young; she was well pleased with the outcome of the BBL. Overall medical health and suitability of the procedure is more important than chronological age.I perform about 500 BBLs each year, and this procedure is the most surgeon dependent plastic surgery procedure. Find a board certified plastic surgeon with great educational, training, and experience credentials who performs hundreds of BBLs each year. Then look at the plastic surgeon's website before and after photo galleries to get a sense of who can deliver the results.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
Thank you for your question. Age is not a contraindication for surgery. Consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Best wishes.
Your absolute age does not preclude you from getting a BBL. What will truly determine whether or not you're a good candidate is your overall health, the amount of overall fat you have for transfer, and your overall skin laxity. You should seek consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon with expertise in BBL surgery to see if you're a good candidate.Hope this helps! Sam Jejurikar, MD
Hi VarshaeThank you for your question. You can always have a BBL done, there is no limit on age. As for all patients over 40 having any procedure done, we require an EKG with the evaluation of the internist or cardiologist, a chest x-ray and a blood test. If your results of those preoperative tests are good, there is no problem to get a BBL done. BestDr Marco Carmona MD
Hello Dear Varshae,Congratulations on considering having a BBL at 56, never is too old to have it done! If your general conditions, physical exam and labs are in a good shape you could go for it. I always have my patients to also, at that age, have a cardiovascular evaluation which includes an EKG, ECO and some times a stress test. Maybe posting pictures would've be great so we can give you a more specific answer but another procedure could be required to remove some skin after having lipo if your skin is not firm enough. Best wishes.
It is hard to tell, without an in person consultation, if you are a candidate for a BBL.See a board-certified plastic surgeon, who operates at a certified facility, and does a ton of Brazilian butt lifts... and you will be in good hands. Please do not shy away from asking; "how many 50 and 60-year-olds have you done a BBL on, Dr.?" Ask to speak to someone who had it done recently. Do not settle for vague answers.
There is really no correct age to have any cosmetic Surgery done! The main and most important thing is that you are healthy enough to have an elective procedure. The oldest I've don e a Buttocks augmentation on was 72. She was very healthy, active, and traveling around the world! She did beautifully and is very happy!
Thank you for your question and photos. Swelling will last for several weeks after surgery. You are very early in your recovery from BBL. Irregularities will resolve. Discuss your concerns with your plastic surgeon. Best wishes on a smooth recovery!
Dear nancy9799, Ideally I would prefer that a patient be off her period prior to surgery. Particularly since surgery will be in the genital area. It's not paramount, but it would make things easier. You're going to be in a garment and having to change pads or tampons may...
The most accurate answer will be provided by the plastic surgeon who performed your BBL.I recommend that my patients minimize sitting, even with a pillow, for the first two weeks. If they must sit, every 30 minutes or an hour, they should get up and stand for a few seconds to take the pre...
