10 weeks post BBL and I think I have fat necrosis, is this dangerous? (Photos)

Question

Super happy with my result, but noticed one small lump on the fullest part of the right cheek. I tried massage but only tolerated moderate to minimal pressure due to pain. The area progressed to a discrete, reddened area that was visible on the surface skin. I contacted my ps and was given two abx. The first photo is prior to abt. And the second is after most of the abt. Will this ruin my result? Most mentions of fat necrosis say it resolves on its own. Should I be worried?

Based on the photos that you have provided it does appear more like an infection/abscess. However, an in person exam would be needed. Continue antibiotics and follow up with your plastic surgeon regularly. If you should have any changes to the area contact your surgeon. Best wishes.

This looks more like an infection/abscess. The underlying issue may be fat necrosis that has become infected, but we can't tell that without an exam. The infection is still active in the 2nd photo and you said you have almost finished the antibiotics. Definitely follow up with your PS as you may need more treatment.
