Most patients are standing upright after about one week, but this varies depending on how tight the abdominal closure is performed.Best wishes,Dr.Bruno
If you have had a full abdominoplasty with muscle repair, in most cases it will be about 7 to 10 days before you can stand in a more upright position. Some of this is also dependent upon how tightly your skin was pulled. Be careful during the first couple of weeks and check in with your surgeon if you are unsure.
Recovery is unique to each patient. Depending on the individual and the degree of abdominal repair required patients can often stand erect 7-14 days after surgery. Sometimes this "hunched" position can cause discomfort for the lower back. Having a partner massage the area with a tennis ball can bring relief.
Thank you for reaching out! This will definitely vary from patient to patient, but on average about 7 days. Some patients are almost upright at day 5 and some are not there until around day 10. Best of luck! Dr. Kachenmeister
Thanks for the great question. I've found that patients are typically able to walk more upright after about 7-10 days. A lot of the ability to stand have to do with how tight you muscles and skin are closed. Most patients find that each day after surgery generally gets a little bit better. It's always best to listen to you body and to not over do it. Best of luck!~Dr. Sieber
To some extent it will depend both on the basic type of Tummy Tuck and also on individual variations of closure techniques the surgeon uses. In our practice the average time is 7-14 days.
Thank you for the question and picture. You need to contact your operating plastic surgeon and text or email photos so they can evaluate and advise you. Good Luck

If you were my patient, I would recommend stopping this and any other supplement at least 2 weeks before surgery. However, you should discuss all medications, supplements, and vitamins you take with your plastic surgeon and have him/her decide what you should and should not be taking prior to y...
When thinking of surgery always seek a board certified plastic surgery. If you plan to have destination surgery beware of the lowest price. Make sure you do your due diligence. If you decide to have a destination surgery I would advise you stay for a minimum of 2-3 weeks for your immediate post...
Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. Depending on the timing since your drain was removed it often takes several days for the site to seal fully. If it has been more than 4-5 days I would contact your surgeon as you may have a residual fluid collection that needs to be e...
Good afternoon. Thanks for your question. Every surgeon has it's own manners to prescribe post-op medication, besides that, a patient is alright with 10 days of prescription, if the patient need's to take more medication, need's to have other prescription.
