I dont like my nose because it was flaring wide .. And my classmate always teasing me about having wide nose .. They said they can put a dozen of stone inside my nose because it was flaring wide .. :( dear doctors hope u can help me :(

If you want to maintain your ethinicity, that much alar reductiob can be done under local anesthesia.But if you want quite sharp nose it will require complete rhinoplastyYou should discuss with your plastic surgeon in detail  how much narrowing you want Best of Luck

Your  wide interalar distance can be reduced by alar wedge excisions at the nostril sill and alar facial fold. This would result in a scar at the alar crease which heals quite well even in the non-caucasian  Africian American, Asian ,or Hispanic nose. This is a standard adjunctive technique to rhinoplasty. Often it is done in conjunction to providing more tip projection converting the flat oblong nostril appearance to a more oblique oval appearance on the base view.Michael Eisemann M.D.Triple Board CertifiedHouston, Texas

Hi.  I need to see better less close-up pictures of your face and nose.  Many Asians who think or complain of large nostrils thing they have to undergo an alar base reduction whereas the issue is too much nostril-show which needs a much more complex rhinoplasty to lengthen the nose and push the tip down so less nostrils are visible from the front view.  Narrowing may be just a part of it but de-rotating may be the main issue and its hard to tell with these pictures.

You can reduce the amount of nostril flare with skin excision of the nostril base.  The scar for this is placed in the crease where the nostril joins the face.  But when you change one aspect of the nose it may be necessary to change another aspect to balance the result.  This could involve changing tip projection or width and possibly adjustment of the nasal bridge.  Find a board certified surgeon who does frequent rhinoplasty surgery for the best result.  Good luck.  Donald R.
