They will often have certain protocols for these cases. This may include taping, scar cream, etc. Ask any questions that you may have. Together you will make an appropriate plan.

Your scars can be revised without significant difficulty as an in-office procedure. Scars tend to widen when there is tension. Also, some patients scar better than others despite the technique. I would find a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon to perform your revision.

Your scars can easily be treated with a scar revision with a local anesthetic.  Don't worry so much about sutures and technique.  Focus on finding an experienced, board certified plastic surgeon to do the procedure.  Good luck. Jane

If you are at least a year post op you can consider scar revision. The existing scar will be removed with the goal that the new incision will heal more favorably. See a board certified plastic surgeon for this procedure for best results. You can also use over the counter scar treatments to help your scar heal. I've included a video I hope you find helpful.

I doubt whether there are any non surgical methods that will help and a simple excision of the scar. Although there are no guarantees excision resuturing should give you an improved result. 

A revision will help you with these scars.A variety of sutures  will work in addition to post operative taping and scar care.

Thank you for your question. I agree that you would benefit from a scar revision. There aren't any specific sutures that would guarantee you a better scar. I would recommend using absorbable sutures. It is possible that this could be done as an office procedure.
