Redness around transplant area after 6 weeks. Is there anything to help reduce the redness? (photos)

It is best to notify your surgeon of your condition since every doctor has their own post operative regimen.Many people get pimples after surgery.

Just to reassure you this is a normal occurrence in your skin type. Time is a healer. PRP can help but I refrain from applying any lotions or potions as they tend to aggravate the redness. 

This is completely normal to have redness in the recipient are 1 month out after a large hair transplant surgery.  In some cases the redness can last almost 2 to 3 months after.  The redness will go away with time.

While you need to confirm with your surgeon, I advise Benadryl for many of my patients who have prolonged redness after a hair transplant.

usually with time it ahould go away. However you can use low dose hydrocortisone lotion and/or mederma lotion for a short period to see if it helps improve the redness.

The appearance of redness after a hair transplant in the recipient area is often a reflection of the type of skin you have and it will go away in another month or so
