Thank you for your question, Thoughtful7355! I would suggest waiting at least 2 weeks prior to touch up. If you are going to be doing another full syringe in the lips I would suggest waiting even longer, closer to 4 weeks. This allows plenty of time for all swelling to subside and for the filler to better integrate into the surrounding tissue. Best of luck!
Hi, thanks for your question. Probably best to wait about two weeks before you go back for a lip filler touch up. This way you ensure your lips have healed and settled from your last injection. That said, always best to consult your provider as they will be in the best position to advise you, and will be able to tell you whether a touch up is necessary.
It’s usually best to wait two weeks, as this is how long it takes for some patients to see the full results of their treatment. At that point, you can schedule a follow-up with your injector to determine whether additional filler might improve your outcome.
Hello and thank you for your question. I tell my patients to wait at least two weeks to see the full results of their procedure. It typically takes that long for swelling to subside and the filler to settle into its final position. If you are not happy with your results at the two-week mark, it would be appropriate to schedule a follow-up with your injector to determine whether a touch-up is needed to enhance your results. Always work with an experienced, board-certified dermatologist to ensure the best possible results with your lip filler treatments.
Hi there! Thank you for your question. It can take up to 2 weeks for residual swelling and bruising to go down and so I always ask my patients to allow 2 weeks before coming back for review. When it comes to lip fillers, slow and steady wins the race so adding filler bit by bit is best practice.Hope this helps!Best Wishes,Dr. Rupert
Thank you for sharing your excellent question. Depending on the amount of filler placed at your initial treatment you may be ready for a second round. I usually ask patients to wait until their lip swelling has completed resolved and the elasticity/softness of their lips has improved. Hope this helps.
Hello,Thank you for your question! It is recommended waiting AT LEAST 7-10 days before scheduling a touch up appointment. It is recommended to wait even longer if you still have remaining discoloration, lumps, bumps, or tenderness. Waiting until you are completely healed will ensure the best and most symmetrical results. Hope this helps!
I would recommend waiting two weeks before going back to your provider for any touch ups to let any swelling completely subside. It is important to ensure there is absolutely no swelling and the injected area is not subject to continuing changes, so it is better to wait a little longer than needed rather than not long enough when going back for a touch up.
Typically it's recommended to wait at least two weeks between injections. This is because it can take up to two weeks for swelling to resolve and for you and your injector to see your final results.
Thankyou for your question. I agree with the other doctors that its best you wait a full 2 weeks for any bruising and swelling to settle. You will get a better result from the second treatment Good luck
For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in-person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest...
Thank you for your message! Any time filler is injected there is a risk of lumps and bumps. We often do a gentle massage to make sure there are no lumps or bumps when you leave. We usually recommend about 2 weeks to let the filler integrate into the tissue and the swelling subside. At that...
Thanks so much for your question. Typically, we have folks do their dental work first, and then come in for their fillers. What might happen is when you place fillers in the lips, nasolabial folds, and marionette lines, then go to the dentist, they may have to retract on those areas to see...
