Do not worry about the bleeding it is normal. However, fallen grafts will not survive. 20 grafts won't make a big difference. İf you are worried and experience more lost contact with your hair expert.
Unfortunately you seem to have lost some grafts. Graft dislodgement usually occurs in the initial 3 days after hair transplant operation. Direct trauma is the main cause of graft dislodgement. You should take up the matter with the surgeon who treated you and contact the clinic where the operation was carried out as soon as possible.
Hello, Thank you for your question, and attaching photos. Bleeding is normal on the first night after the FUE, this is why there should be bandages, which I usually let my patients keep only over the night. However, the bleeding on transplanted area might happen only if the grafts are out or accidentally damaged, which happened in your case. You should have contacted your surgeon immediately, The grafts which were out, the will not survive, but 20 grafts should not effect on the results.
In general, you never want to lose a single graft. In my experience losing 20 grafts is more than I typically have seen. However, if you had a relative large case like 2000-3000 for example, 20 grafts should have minimal impact unless they were all in one area close to one another or along one side of the hairline for example.
Don't panic. As long as no further grafts are found, there should be minimal impact on your results. However, make sure you discuss this with your surgeon, and if you require an additional procedure, it is reasonable to expect a few complimentary grafts. Also make sure you are following your post-operative care instructions carefully.
I am sorry that this happened with loss of those grafts. Hopefully, with just 20 lost, your overall result will still be excellent. Some surgeons may ask you to come in, and they will harvest more hairs and replace the grafts. Other surgeons may recommend waiting and seeing your result, to see if those grafts will make a prominent difference. As well, note that over the next few days, the grafts will become "glued" into place, so after 1 week, you can start to act like normal scalp.Sincerely, Eric T. Carniol, MD @drericcarniol
Hi there unfortunately it seems you have now lost the grafts you have noticed. I would recommend seeing your surgeon to evaluate your transplant- there is little they will be able to do now apart from operating again to replace the grafts that have been lost.
Hi. Yes it does look like some of your grafts have been lost. You should have had a post op appointment set up by your surgeon, but if not you need to get into see him sooner than later. Hopefully not all is lost in that area. Good luck to you.
Hello and thank you for your questions. It does appear that you lost some grafts in your sleep, it is important not to scratch or mess with the implanted area. I would recommend you following up with your surgeon for a post procedure assessment.
It looks like you lost some of your grafts. If they all came from one small area, that site may look thinner than the surrounding. I would suggest a visit to your surgeon to have the site evaluated and to check your other grafts
