Will I have bald patches?
Answer: Loss of Grafts Don't panic. As long as no further grafts are found, there should be minimal impact on your results. However, make sure you discuss this with your surgeon, and if you require an additional procedure, it is reasonable to expect a few complimentary grafts. Also make sure you are following your post-operative care instructions carefully.

Answer: Bleeding After FUE Hello, Thank you for your question, and attaching photos. Bleeding is normal on the first night after the FUE, this is why there should be bandages, which I usually let my patients keep only over the night. However, the bleeding on transplanted area might happen only if the grafts are out or accidentally damaged, which happened in your case. You should have contacted your surgeon immediately, The grafts which were out, the will not survive, but 20 grafts should not effect on the results.

Answer: 20 grafts that are out of body are a decent number but in most cases should not affect your outcome In general, you never want to lose a single graft. In my experience losing 20 grafts is more than I typically have seen. However, if you had a relative large case like 2000-3000 for example, 20 grafts should have minimal impact unless they were all in one area close to one another or along one side of the hairline for example.

Answer: Grafts lost on the pillow after surgery I am sorry that this happened with loss of those grafts. Hopefully, with just 20 lost, your overall result will still be excellent. Some surgeons may ask you to come in, and they will harvest more hairs and replace the grafts. Other surgeons may recommend waiting and seeing your result, to see if those grafts will make a prominent difference. As well, note that over the next few days, the grafts will become "glued" into place, so after 1 week, you can start to act like normal scalp.Sincerely, Eric T. Carniol, MD @drericcarniol
