I had a scar on the back on my head from a previous hair procedure at another provider. Len Kausing at Haber did a great job of blending and covering the transplant SCAR with SMP. Len is talented with his tools and is very personable . They told me it would take a few sessions as you could not do a good job with only one visits. Very satisfied.
I had my hair transplant yesterday with Dr Haber. It was fantastic ! So glad I decided to have the hair transplant with Dr Haber. So many things that made the day go by so fast and easy : vibrating massage when injecting Novacaine needles, heated blankets, lunch, music or movies, ATP solution for aftercare, a unbelievably great staff. Up to 8 people were working at one point in time , makes a person feel confident that they are in good hands! And, Dr Haber actually does most of the work himself, I never expected all this after seeing YouTube videos of various hair clinics. I was all smiles at the end of the day. All the technicians are very friendly and have years of experience, they never stopped working the entire day. I can truthfully say that I had a great time having a hair transplant, which sounds unbelievable, but it’s true. Dr Haber is a very skilled doctor and he has actually delivered babies early in his career. An example of how much he cares about his patients, he called me last night (evening after the transplant) to ask if I was doing ok , he gave me his personal cell phone and said I should call him with any questions! I thought those days of the doctor checking on a patient were gone, but apparently not, and it really made me feel good. Lastly, Dr Haber said I wouldn’t have any pain the next day, he was 100% right ! No pain at all, I have to hold myself back from doing things because I feel so good ! Anyhow, thanks again ! I can’t recommend this clinic enough. All smiles ! Andy
I recently had the scalp micro pigmentation procedure with Len. I'm blown away by my results. I always have had thin hair and seeing my scalp when I looked down would always make me self conscious. I had tried topical camouflage and fibers but if they got wet or sweaty it just be a mess. From the beginning with my consult to the end with Len was a great experience and I'm sad i didn't get it done much sooner. The procedure was painless and I would highly recommend Len to anyone even thinking about getting it done. You won't be disappointed.
After hearing great things about his hair transplant and dermatology work, I consulted with Dr. Haber about loss of volume in my upper lip and vertical lip lines that were markedly noticeable. Even though I have never smoked, I had several very prominent lines that were aging me and looked like "smoker's lines". I was afraid of using a filler for fear that I would end up with overly full, fake looking lips--Dr. Haber assured me that he could help me achieve a natural looking result that did not appear fake or overly filled. He was correct! He has turned back time and my lines are softened and my lips have regained fullness. With several injections of the filler Juvederm, I now look refreshed without looking fake. A perfect balance!
Dr. Haber was very pleasant and thorough. He spent time getting to know me as a first time patient, which makes me want to return and keep up with the skin regimen he suggested. His staff is amazing and very knowledgeable about the derm industry. I have definitely recommended this practice to friends and family.
Just got home from my Hair Transplant procedure. Everything went great, was very comfortable the entire time, and the staff was pleasant to be around. I initially visited Dr. Haber about 10 years ago after speaking with a Bosley representative. Dr. Haber said he wouldn't recommend the hair transplants at that time and so started me on Propecia (my hairline wasn't too bad at the time). I was a little nervous about letting the Bosley doctor perform the operation after my consultation with Dr. Haber, so I decided against the transplants at the time. I have nothing against any Bosley physician but I had a better feeling about a doctor that turned down the opportunity to work on someone that, in their eyes, didn't really need the procedure. I realized that Dr Haber takes pride in his work as a priority over the money from the procedure. I very slowly started losing my hairline over these last 10 years so I went back in to see Dr Haber. He said I would be a good candidate now for about 1200 grafts. Procedure went great, they picked up lunch for me, we listened to a few radio stations, and it was all a very simple process (from my point of view). I have a desk job so I even decided to pop into work and get about an hour of work done. My head looks a little goofy right now, but no shame in my game! I'm excited about the fresh new hairline. I hope I remember to come back and give you my 6 month post-op review with before and after photos...
Excellent from beginning to end. The procedure was done in a few sessions which allowed me to see the progress as we went. They took their time and explained everything. Great staff and facility - I highly recommend them.
My experience with Dr. Haber and staff were very informative and my hair transplant surgery went very well. Two years have passed since the transplant and my hair is holding well with very minimal shedding.I would highly recommend Dr. Haber on hair transplant due to his expertise and his very peticular and professional staff. Dr. Haber and his staff are great. He was able to perform a hair restoration procedure that I am very pleased with. I highly recommend Dr. Haber for anyone dealing with hair loss. Dr. Haber will answer all of your questions, make sure you understand all of your options, and provide great service.
Seriously an amazing doctor who cares about his patients and not the money. I saw a few doctors and they didn't hesitate to offer me a hair transplant. Dr. Haber wouldn't recommend a hair transplant until we spoke about non-surgical options first. Found out he literally WROTE the textbook about HAIR TRANSPLANTS. The surgery was a breeze and recovery was about a day. The staff was pleasant to be around and made conversation. He made a patient for life and I would honestly recommend everyone go to him.
I want to thicken up my hair a bit but did not want to use the surgical route. I used the Scalp Micropigmentation (smp) alternative procedure. Worked out very well; thickened up my hair and no medical use. Felt very comfortable while at his office. I would recommend Dr. Haber, but also his staff was above expectations. Thank you.
If you were indeed protected by the umbrella from direct exposure, there should not be any problem. Wear a loose fitting broad-brimmed hat when in the sun.
Don't panic. As long as no further grafts are found, there should be minimal impact on your results. However, make sure you discuss this with your surgeon, and if you require an additional procedure, it is reasonable to expect a few complimentary grafts. Also make sure you are following your post-operative care instructions carefully.
6000 grafts sounds way too aggressive in my opinion. You don't want to deplete your donor area when you still have lots of potential hair loss that may need surgical correction in the years to come. Hard to be accurate with just one photo, but I would plant maybe 500 to the crown and 1200-1500 to the frontal zone. That should produce a nice cosmetic benefit.
Hair loss is a chronic condition, and therefore treatments must be continued indefinitely. That is true for spironolactone as well as minoxidil, finasteride, light based treatments, and PRP. There are very few scientific studies that support the use of spironolactone, however, those of us that use it generally find that it can be helpful for many patients. I find the greatest benefit with high doses of 100 mg twice daily. There are risks associated with spironolactone, so its very important that this drug be initiated and monitored by a hair loss physician familiar with its proper use.
Minoxidil, like all hair loss treatments, must be continued indefinitely in order to maintain its benefits. Stopping minoxidil may result in the loss of hairs as soon as several weeks. This is also true for finasteride, light based treatments, and PRP. Hopefully someday a permanent cure will be developed, but so far that has been elusive.
