Answer: Is BBL surgery safe if I don’t smoke nicotine 18 days prior to surgery date? Definitely stop smoking! Smoking reduces circulation to the skin and impedes healing. While you should ideally stop smoking for 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after your BBL, you must NOT smoke for a minimum or 24 hours before and 24 hours after surgery.

Answer: Smoking patient vs BBL surgery Thank you for your question. From a professional point of view I recommend stop smoke at least one month prior surgery, however, your doctor might refer you to a specialist to make sure everything is under control. Respectfully, Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-

Answer: Is BBL surgery safe if I don’t smoke nicotine 18 days prior to surgery date? Hello @mahogani08 thank you for your question. Stop smoking 15 days prior to having surgery is one of the recommendations that I always give my patients for diminishing risks and better healing process, is also important to avoid excessive food and alcoholic beverages, not to take medications with anticoagulant effects a couple of weeks before surgery. Best wishes!

Answer: BBL-smoking Hello, and thanks for your question. We tell our patients to refrain from smoking for 6 weeks prior to any surgery. It is ultimately up to the discretion of your specific provider, but I would advise against it. Please see a board-certified physician for your consultation. Best of luck to you! Sincerely, James Fernau, MD FACS Aesthetic Surgery Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Certified, American Board of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery Member: American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS) American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) American Academy of Facial Plastic Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) American Academy of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery (AAOHNS) American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS) The Rhinoplasty Society
