Definitely stop smoking! Smoking reduces circulation to the skin and impedes healing. While you should ideally stop smoking for 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after your BBL, you must NOT smoke for a minimum or 24 hours before and 24 hours after surgery.
Thank you for your question. From a professional point of view I recommend stop smoke at least one month prior surgery, however, your doctor might refer you to a specialist to make sure everything is under control.Respectfully,Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-
Hello @mahogani08 thank you for your question. Stop smoking 15 days prior to having surgery is one of the recommendations that I always give my patients for diminishing risks and better healing process, is also important to avoid excessive food and alcoholic beverages, not to take medications with anticoagulant effects a couple of weeks before surgery. Best wishes!
Dear mahogani08,every plastic surgeon has his own preoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Hello, and thanks for your question. We tell our patients to refrain from smoking for 6 weeks prior to any surgery. It is ultimately up to the discretion of your specific provider, but I would advise against it.Please see a board-certified physician for your consultation. Best of luck to you! Dear bootytooty01, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Generally speaking, you should be healthy prior to surgery. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information...
Please show your lab reports to the plastic surgeon you are consulting. Ideally before an elective surgery you should be physically healthy for a better recovery. Would suggest that you connect with a board-certified plastic surgeon for a thorough examination to get more information and...
I would want to speak with the hematologist and have full lab panel to check your clotting cascade. This is purely elective cosmetic surgery so there is no need to risk your health.
