Check with your doctor, but usually a couple of drinks after a minor procedure shouldn't be a problem.Some antibiotics may cause bas reactions when mixed with alcohol, make sure you are not getting those before hand.

I would check with your doctor. The old saying, "Less is better" is a good rule of thumb. There is a big difference between a half a glass of wine and a whole bottle. The reason for not drinking is to allow the liver to concentrate on helping you clot your blood normally after surgery instead of trying to detoxify the alcohol that you consumed.Your pre-op instruction sheet should tell you what your physician recommends. John Standefer MD

Check with your doctor.  He or she should have given you a printed list of do's and don'ts for before and after your surgery.  In our practice we ask our patients not to drink format least a week prior to surgery to cut down the chances of excessive bleeding during and after surgery
