The duration of the healing process is dependent on each person, but it usually takes about a 1-3 weeks. Treatments should not be given earlier than 4-6 weeks in between. Dermapen is effective for fine lines and wrinkles because it stimulates the growth of collagen and remodels the tissues. I do not think you made a mistake in treating your deep wrinkles with the dermapen, as it should tighten your skin. However, you may need 4-6 treatments to achieve the look you want. Maximal improvement, especially for deeper wrinkles, often requires additional treatments including injectible fillers, laser resurfacing, dermabrasion, deep chemical peels.
