I had my augmentation 15 days ago and still very tender to touch. I'm 5'5" 107, was a small B with little breast tissue and never had children. I chose a 460cc silicone round ultra high profile under the muscle implant with an incision in the fold of the breast. I'm no longer taking pain meds but my breasts are still so tender almost burning to touch. Is this normal two weeks out? Is this because I chose a large implant for my size, the largest my PS said would fit, and the profile style?

Answer: 2 weeks post op, some advices: Thanks for sharing your question. At this point of your post op is normal whatt you are feeling. In my practice, after performing a breast augmentation I recommend to my patients to limit the movement of the arms for two weeks. After that, you can move your arms taking care and always with common sense. In this regard, it's not advisable to carry heavy weights to prevent the implant out of position, and allow the formation of the physiological capsule around the implant, also to avoid pain and breast swelling.Respectfully, Dr. Emmanuel Mallol.-

Answer: Should my breasts be tender to touch 2 weeks after augmentation? It isn't unusual to have tender breasts a couple weeks post op, especially since you had small breasts and a fairly large implant put in. If you are having more pain or discomfort than say a week ago, then I would make an appointment with your PS, but if it's gradually getting less and less uncomfortable, then that is normal.
