Can I still wear the absorbent pads on my incisions after the steri strips are removed?

If it is helping you with your recovery there is no harm in maintaining the dry pads over the incisions. 

If the pads lessen your discomfort, definitely wear them. It's not going to hurt. In terms of your asymmetrical healing, this is quite common and is nothing to worry about at this point. My guess is that you are right handed and your right side gets more use. Just be careful that you not lifting anything heavy for at least a month. Otherwise, relax and enjoy your new breasts.

Congratulations on your BA!  Thank you for your questions.  At this point, you can feel free to wear a dressing on your incision if it makes you feel more comfortable (it likely isn't necessary but won't hurt anything).  It is also normal for each breast and each scar to heal at its own rate and in its own way.  Best of luck with your continued recovery!  

Breast augmentation incisions  can remain tender for several weeks and in my patients I often have them wear a padded protective Band-Aid to alleviate any pain. Furthermore, we advocate the use of paper tape for a minimum of six weeks for optimal healing. Best wishes .
