When I lay down my breasts fall all the way to the sides of my body. Is this normal? Who's responsible for fixing it? (Photo)

I had 339 CC silicone implants placed under the muscle. Standing I am able to put 4 fingers between the both breasts. Laying down I can fit almost 8. I have been back to the doctor twice because my right one seemed a little lower than the left, but now I am thinking from reading previous posts that my skin is too stretched out. I wear sports bras to bed every single night because I am so nervous if I don't they will get stretched out even more.

It's normal for breasts to move and be a little differ left to right. Any additional surgery would carry risks and not be recommended. Close follow up with your plastic surgeon is recommended.

Your breasts look completely fine based on your photos. When anyone lies down, whether they've got implants or not, their breasts are going to drop to the side. It's what happens. In terms of your cleavage, you must have had wide cleavage to begin with. Breast implants don't really affect cleavage. Honestly, your breasts look great.

I am sorry to hear about the problem you are experiencing after breast augmentation/lifting surgery. Based on your description and pictures, it seems like you are experiencing a lateral breast implant displacement problem.
Generally, the lateral breast implant displacement can be corrected using an internal suture technique, decreasing the size of the pockets and moving the implants toward the midline.    Doing so will prevent the breast implants from migrating to the sides when you lie down and will help centralize the position on the breast mounds. In my practice, this repair is done with a 2 layered suture technique. The use of acellular dermal matrix is an option ( although not usually necessary)  especially if significant implant rippling/palpability is present.

It is impossible to tell exactly what is going on from photos alone, but I will make a few observations.  First, your upright photo looks great - very natural; minor asymmetry with the right implant slightly lower.  Second, your implants do move to the side when you lie down, just as your breasts did BEFORE surgery; the implants are supposed to be mobile, but not excessively so.  I suggest you undergo a careful examination and discussion with your Plastic Surgeon.  One has to be very careful about revisionary surgery, because it can sometimes create problems and can lead to significant expense.  Best of luck.

First, you look great. You have a nice result. And I agree, mostly, with what the other surgeons have said above. But with that being said, it is sometimes possible to tighten the breast pockets on each side to keep the implants more medially. This is called a capsulorrhaphy (kap"su-lor'ah-fe). Sometimes it can be done just with suture and using the lining of the pocket for support, and sometimes it is done with an internal mesh support to help support the implant. Using a textured implant might help as well.Discuss all of this with your surgeon. The way you look is not necessarily due to anything your surgeon did, it's just the way your body is and behaved after surgery. Generally speaking, if you go back to the same surgeon, fees are usually less than if you go to a new surgeon. But it is not something that has to be "fixed", so you should not expect your surgeon to wave all fees.

Your breasts look absolutely normal to me. Of course they move when you lie down, and it would actually be a problem if they were stuck on your chest in the same position all the time.Breast enlargement doesn't significantly change the cleavage, so I suppose you preoperative cleavage was somehow similar to the current one.
