Thank you for your question. An examination would best determine if your a candidate for a revision tummy tuck. Liposuction would help, but for the visceral fullness i would recommend diet and exercise. Consult with Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
Energy based liposuction like VASER, ThermiRF, SmartLipo do well for skin retraction and contouring of the body. If you have a lot of loose skin or stretch marks, surgery is best option with or without lipocontouring. I suggest you see a body sculpting physician for a formal consultation. I often do hi definition liposuction, full body shaping and then my partner does the tummy tuck. It looks as if you will need a full body lipo/tummy tuck to improve but a consult is needed. Best, Dr. Emer.
Just based on your photos, you might achieve better results with liposuction. I recommend that you be examined to see how much residual fat you actually have in that area.
It looks like you could be a candidate for a full tummy tuck. An in person exam would be necessary to give you a good recommendation, but in looking at your photos it seems that you may be dissatisfied with the results of liposuction alone. Find a board certified plastic surgeon and see what they recommend. Best wishes.
Hard to decide but my guess is try liposuction 1st to seen if the input of fat removed would improve your appearance. Also weight loss of 20+pounds can help...
In an ideal world you would have your abdominoplasty read done as well as your breast lift or reduction tightened up. you appear to still have somewhat of a bulging abdominal wall which could most likely be pulled tighter with a full revision abdominoplasty. at the same time your scar could be lowered a little bit and the areas that are uneven including your bellybutton evened out a little bit. this would be a major undertaking similar to your initial procedure.Perhaps more than what you're willing to sign up for it. revision abdominoplasty surgery covers the full spectrum of removing a little bit of skin to redoing the entire abdominoplasty. As such it's hard to say if it revision is better than liposuction. It depends how much you want to undergo and how much of improvement you're trying to seek. without a question do you need an in person consultation to get an accurate assessment.Look for the best of the best in your area to get a second opinion.I would highly suggest only seeing a board-certified plastic surgeon who can offer all options for your concerns. Best,Mats Hagstrom M.D.
Based on your photos, it looks like you have enough excess tissue remaining so that you would benefit from a revision TT. Doing lipo alone will remove some of the remaining fat, but it risks leaving you with skin irregularities and contour problems if the skin does not contract adequately on its own, which it typically does not do in patients who are candidates for a TT (after pregnancies, weight loss, etc). You should be seen in person by a board-certified plastic surgeon for a full assessment and discussion of the various treatment options.I hope that this helps and good luck,Dr. Alan EnglerMember of #RealSelf100
After reviewing your photographs I think you should start off with liposuction and you have some internal fat which would be improved with weight loss by diet and exercise. A scar revision of your tummy tuck incision may help as wel. Please return to your surgeon for evaluation and to discuss your options.
That is dependent on what area or areas are your main concerns. If you are more focused on correcting the side of your abdomen, then liposuction may be efficient. If your goal are to improve the asymmetry of your sides along with also improving the contour of the abdomen then a combination of both may be necessary. It is hard to give an exact recommendation with out examining the abdomen and the density of the fat and the laxity of the skin. It is best to consult in person for a more specific recommendation.
Any dietary supplements should be reported to your surgeon prior to liposuction. It will be the surgeon's decision whether or not they need to be stopped prior to the procedure.
Liposuction even with abdominoplasty is not weight reduction. Your daughter needs help with body weight control for purposes of health.
Thank you for your question, and I am sorry that your liposuction results have not been what you anticipated. Overall, the loss in body fat will provide you with countless health benefits in addition to aesthetic improvement, but it is difficult to say whether the irregularities will improve....
