I'm considering getting lip injections. The left side on my bottom lip isn't as full as the right as you can see in this photo, and I'd like to fix that. I'd also like to increase the overall fullness of my lips just a little bit to have that soft cushiony appearance and maybe emphasize my cupid's bow. I want a very natural looking result.
Answer: Wow, your lips look absolutely amazing! Is it possible to get some tweaking of your lip with filler but the vast majority of injectors you are likely to see are not going to be able to achieve the result you require. To understand why this is the case, please understand that doctors go to medical school not art school. They lack the sculpting skills that are needed to really understand what you are looking for. Commonly, they will also use the wrong tools. Generally, hyaluronic acid fillers come it two varieties: Not runny and runny. Technically these are high G prime, low tan delta fillers versus low G prime, high tan delta fillers. Don't even consider anything but a hyaluronic acid filler. The hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved if there is ever a problem with then. The runny fillers like juvederm, belotero, or restylane silk, do not stay where they are placed. As a result they are not sufficiently precise to accomplish your goals. The non-runny fillers include Restylane and Lyft. Lyft is too stiff for the lip. Restylane is your product. Try not to harm yourself out there. I do not really think you need lip fillers. Your lips are rock'n.

Answer: Lip augmentation Thanks for your question. Strategically placed filler, containing hyaluronic acids such as Juvederm, Restylane, and Volbella, can create fuller volume in the lips. Indeed, it can even suddenly change the shape of the lip as well. However, if you have significant lip shape issues, such as a long upper lip or drooping corners, then you could opt additionally for other procedures, such as an upper and/or corner lip lift. Best to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in lip augmentation.

Answer: A little lip filler can really make a person feel better about their appearance. I think you would do well with a little filler in the lips in specific spots and it shouldn't make you look duck like at all.
