1 yr post op from submusular implants + donut lift. Started out with asymmetry & constricted lower pole (before pics attached). I still have some asymmetry & now they seem snoopy? My surgeon was hesitant to lower my fold on the higher breast due to the risk of bottming out. Im considering seeking revision & wanting to get some other opinions on what's going on with me.
Answer: Breasts You don't really have a snoopy appearance to your breasts, but your areolae are sitting a little low. A peri-areolar lift might work well for you.

Answer: Breast lift Thanks for your question! You don't appear to have any deformities. Pre-operatively, your nipple and areola were lower on the breast mound than some patients. If you still bothered that they are too low, then a vertical mastopexy is the right answer. If you can live with them being a little bit lower on the breast mound, then my recommendation would be to do nothing. Good luck!

Answer: BA results Dear Energetic902002, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Breast Revision Surgery Judging by your preoperative photos, it does appear that you would have been a better candidate for a "bigger" lift than a donut, a vertical (lollipop). At this point, although improvement is possible, it gets to be a bit more difficult. I can not say what you would need just from the photos, an exam would be informative. However, what I can say is that there is some room for improvement. Hope that helps.

Answer: Donuts Don't Lift Just reading your text without the accompanying photos I knew you got the wrong operation. Donut/circumareolar/Benelli lifts don't lift the breast and barely lift the nipple areolar complex. That procedure is reserved for a breast shape that most patients would simply get no lift at all: a small and deflated breast with a *slightly* low nipple areolar complex that is NOT tethered by a lack of inframammary skin. Asymmetric breasts, larger breasts, and constricted breasts (yes, I know, there is plenty of plastic surgery literature written about its use with tubular or constricted breasts) are not ideal candidates for that procedure. You'll need a formal breast lift to give you what you want, an attractive breast mound and nipple position on the mound.
