I am having breast implant revision surgery with a breast lift. My surgeon is going to use mentor memory gel 425cc hp. Years ago I had 415cc sientra hp hsc+. I’ve read that the sientra hsc+ is more cohesive than the regular mentor implants. I am wanting to know if the mentor hp 425cc which has the same width and diameter as the 415cc sientra hsc+ will be the same? Will it hold its shape as well? Is the mentor as cohesive as the sientra hsc+?
Answer: Implant size Dear Goldenbear, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals. Answer: Breast implants Mentor MemoryGel and Sientra HSC+ are both FDA-approved silicone breast implant brands, but they have different levels of cohesiveness. Sientra HSC+ implants are known for having a more cohesive silicone gel compared to other implants, including Mentor MemoryGel implants. In terms of shape retention, the Mentor MemoryGel implants are designed to maintain their shape and provide long-lasting results. They also have a high degree of durability and resistance to rupture, which is important for the longevity of the implants. The 425cc Mentor MemoryGel implants that your surgeon plans to use have the same width and diameter as your previous 415cc Sientra HSC+ implants, so they should fit similarly. That being said, it's important to note that every patient's body and anatomy are different, and the outcome of breast implant revision surgery can vary. It's best to discuss your concerns and expectations with your surgeon, as they will be able to provide you with a more personalized assessment based on your unique situation. Your surgeon can also provide you with more information about the specific properties and characteristics of the Mentor MemoryGel implants they plan to use, and how they compare to the Sientra HSC+ implants you had before. Best of luck !

Answer: Implants Mento makes great implants. There is 10 cc's difference between the two, but you will not notice this. Measurements are similar, but not exact.
