I've decided to get rid of my double chin, & I'm wondering which minimally invasive option would be best. I'm 27 in Los Angeles & not looking to spend more than $5-6K. I've been looking at chin lipo, Acculift, Facetite, &other laser-assisted lipo. My main limitation/requirement is fast recovery time. I'll only be able to get the procedure 8/3-8/6 with a photo shoot on 8/22 & my wedding on 10/26. Which would have the shortest swelling/bruising time?
Answer: Best Minimally Invasive Options for Double Chin Reduction with Fast Recovery Time Thank you for your question and for providing details about your situation. Minimally invasive procedures for reducing a double chin have become quite advanced, offering effective results with relatively short recovery times. Here are some options that you might consider, along with their typical recovery timelines: Chin Liposuction: Procedure: This is a straightforward procedure where a small cannula is used to remove excess fat from beneath the chin. Recovery Time: Swelling and bruising can last from 1 to 2 weeks, with noticeable improvements within a few days. Given your timeline, you should see significant improvement by your photo shoot on 8/22. Kybella (Deoxycholic Acid Injections): Procedure: Kybella is an injectable treatment that dissolves fat cells under the chin. Recovery Time: Swelling is common and can last for 2-3 weeks. Multiple treatments may be required for optimal results, spaced about a month apart. This might not fit well with your tight schedule. AccuLift: Procedure: This laser-assisted lipo procedure targets and melts fat, which is then suctioned out. Recovery Time: Typically, recovery is quicker than traditional lipo, with most patients experiencing mild swelling and bruising for about 1 week. FaceTite: Procedure: This involves radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis, which tightens skin and reduces fat. Recovery Time: Swelling and bruising usually subside within 1-2 weeks. It offers the dual benefit of fat reduction and skin tightening, which might be ideal for your needs. Given your timeline and the need for a fast recovery, Chin Liposuction or FaceTite might be your best options. Both procedures typically have a recovery period that aligns well with your photo shoot and wedding dates, offering noticeable improvements within a couple of weeks. I recommend consulting with a board-certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon who can evaluate your specific needs and provide personalized advice. Best wishes for your upcoming photo shoot and wedding! Best regards,

Answer: A non-invasive treatment to reduce appearance of a double chin can be a combination of Morpheus8 and Ultherpay Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Liposuction is Not the best treatment Long-Term Dear Jcgol, Thank you for your pictures. Congratulations on your wedding! Your timeline is very tight for your photo shoot. I think you have two issues contributing to the profile. (1) you have a recessive jaw/that is giving your neck the appearance of fullness. (2) there is a small amount of fat contributing to the listed ideal contour of your profile. I don't believe liposuction is going to give you the ultimate jawline profile that you desire and adding a skin tightening procedure such as FaceTite or laser assisted liposuction is going to help because your skin looks very resilient. The best procedure so that you're not spending time and more money in the long run to be sliding genioplasty or implant to help your profile. With those two procedures, I believe that you could eliminate the need for liposuction. Consult with several boards, certified facial plastic and/or plastic with the best treatment recommendations Again congratulations! Earl Stephenson, Jr,. Answer: Chin liposuction Chin liposuction offers a fast recovery and will improve your chin and profile but your chin appears short and recessed. For a quick recovery, injectable fillers would be useful, but to provide balance to your lower face, a more invasive surgical procedure is needed. I usually recommend liposuction along the jawline as well to provide a well defined contour.

Answer: Would you consider neck liposuction and a chin implant? Based on your photos, the combination of these two procedures would lead to a pleasing jawline and less neck fat. Down time time would be around 1 week, and you would be close to your budget. This would be a surgical procedure with risks, however, in the right hands I believe it would lead to the best result. I hope this is helpful and thank you for your question. Since the only Dr Joseph
