Hi, thank you for sharing your question. You can achieve a flat stomach with either liposuction or tummy tuck. Based on your photos, I would recommend liposuction if you want to avoid the tummy tuck scar.
Hi and thank you for your question regarding whether liposuction will give you a flat stomach. t appears that your distended abdomen is likely due to weakened abdominal muscles from pregnancy, along with excess skin and stretch marks. While liposuction can address fat deposits, it may not be effective for your specific concerns. In fact, liposuction alone could potentially leave you with more loose skin. Based on your individual case, I would recommend a tummy tuck procedure with liposuction of the love handles. This procedure will include muscle repair and pubic work to reduce fat from the mons region, resulting in optimal results for your concerns. I encourage you to schedule a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon to further discuss your options and determine the best plan of action for your desired outcome. Thank you for your question and best of luck in your decision-making process. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen.
Thank you for your question and pictures. I would recommend you a tummy tuck with liposuction for betters results. Hi Courageous606330,On the side view, you have lower abdominal bulging, below the belly button. Most commonly, this is due to rectus diastasis--a vertical split between the six pack muscles. Liposuction can reduce fat, but only a tummy tuck provides the opportunity to reduce fat and fix rectus diastasis. An exam from a qualified plastic surgeon would be a great next step.Hope this helps,Christopher Pannucci MDBoard Certified Plastic SurgeonPlastic Surgery NorthwestSpokane, Washington
An in person assessment by a board certified plastic surgeon is recommended. However, based on your photos alone, a tummy tuck may be more suitable for you. This is because you appear to have loose skin and stretch marks. Liposuction alone would not remove the loose skin. A tummy tuck would, giving you the flatter stomach you’re hoping for.
Based on your photo provided, you would be a great candidate for a tummy tuck with liposuction of abdomen and flanks. This would allow the correction of your diastasis recti that likely occurred during pregnancy. Liposuction alone would not address the diastasis. For further discussion, I would recommend an in-person consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon.
You have developed an important degree of saggy skin on your abdominal skin with uncountable, wide stretch marks and loose muscle which make you look protruding. So you are a perfect candidate for a Tummy Tuck and muscle repair and most likely a mons lift. In order to achieve a beautiful and attractive flat abdomen, smaller waist line and feminine flat mons. Liposuction with any type of energy will let you lumpy and still saggy and loose muscle. Be encouraged!!!Dr. Cárdenas
You probably need some sort of skin removal to be happy, but this really just depends upon your expectations. BodyTite does not remove any fat, but it is capable of producing a 45% contraction in tissues. It can be combined with liposuction to improve contours dramatically. Results can be seen immediately after one treatment and are more evident over three to six months post-treatment. Wait until six months to fully evaluate the aesthetic results.
Dear Courageous606330,based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a TT. Full tummy tuck should tighten your abdominal muscles and remove the excess skin. Flanks liposuction would give you a better shape. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Liposuction will only remove extra abdominal fat, not intra-abdominal fat content. From your side view, your abdominal wall is bulging anteriorly. If you are not planning future pregnancies, I recommend abdominoplasty with mesh reinforcement. The mesh creates a more hourglass figure by compressing the abdominal wall resulting in early satiety and helps maintain a reduced weight.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.
At our clinic we recommend that the patient should lose all the weight prior to surgery to improve wound healing and have an easier recovery. Also this will provide better end results
Thank you for your question and photos! A tummy tuck will address excess skin & repair of the abdominal muscle. The abdominal wall can be weakened after pregnancy and (or) significant weight gain & loss. By repairing the muscle, not only does the appearance of your abdominal area improve, but...
