You are an Excellent candidate for a tummy tuck. A far as weight goes the problem we see more often is patients gaining weight after a tummy tuck or lipo and it's easy to do. If you lose weight ahead of time that great. Just make sure you don't regain it after surgery

At our clinic we recommend that the patient should lose all the weight prior to surgery to improve wound healing and have an easier recovery. Also this will provide better end results

Congratulations on your impressive weight loss! It is best to get as close as possible to your goal weight and be able to maintain it before your surgery. This will give your surgeon the opportunity to maximize your results. Usually any weight changes within ten pounds will not affect results, but getting as close as you can is recommended.

Yes, a 20 pound weight loss AFTER surgery will adversely affect the result. Significant further loss of fat AFTER surgery will result in loose skin. It is best to be at a comfortable stable safe body weight and be within 15 pounds of your desired body weight. Don't give up....the last 20 pounds are always the hardest!
