Extracting teeth would not change your chin recession and should not be done unless teeth must be removed for a health or dental reason. You could potentially be a candidate for jaw surgery, especially if your bite does not fit together, That being said, if you are looking for just a cosmetic procedure, then a genioplasty could certainly be beneficial. Your chin is quite recessed, and moving it forward would add projection and length to your chin while balancing out your profile. The x-ray shows a significant amount of recession and will require a considerable advancement. In large advancements, I believe that a sliding genioplasty provides a more natural result. I perform both procedures and for 6 mm or greater movement I prefer the genioplasty.

Braces are commonly used to correct dental alignment issues such as overjet, but they may not always address concerns related to lip incompetence or a recessed chin.
