Green tea is probably fine, maybe even beneficial, but there are potential interactions with medications and blood clotting. Always best to talk with your surgeon about things like this.
I advise my patients to stop drinking herbal teas or any other blood-thinning products 10 days before their surgeries. Herbal tea causes blood thinning which we want to avoid. Thinner your blood is the chance of bleeding and bruising gets higher. You should let your doctor know and let him determine if he can proceed with your operation. Good luck.

There is a slight risk of increased bleeding and bruising with some of these types of teas and supplements. I recommend you work with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon.
