I had a breast lift implant exchange pocket repair with galaflex. I noticed shortly after surgery that my right implant was sitting very low. I can feel the edge of the implant and its below the the breast fold line. It's also slightly painful or uncomfortable. I have used bandage and I'm only braless to shower. Do I need revision surgery? Also what bra do you recommend using to help.
Answer: Your case doesn't seem too serious and might be corrected without the revision. Thank you for your question. The implant came down a little, but it doesn't seem to be very severe. If it has been less than 6 months since the operation, you can try to raise the implant position with a special medical bra used for those who have undergone breast implant surgery. It is less effective than that, but you can try raising the implant a little while wearing an underwire bra with a wide enough wire arc. If it has been more than 6 months since the operation, the correction will not work well in this way, it can be corrected only by revision surgery. Since the condition is not very serious, if you can accept the result cosmetically, you can use a bra to prevent further descending without the necessity of revision surgery.

Answer: Revision I would suggest you wait until 6 months before undergoing any revisions. You may consider smaller implants and scar revision. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Surgery results Dear fdelarosa14, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Early bottoming out following implant exchange and lift? Hi fdelarosa14, I understand your concern and agree with other answers that it's impossible to give you a complete answer without an exam. I do see that the inframammary incision is higher on the right (not under the breast fold). However, a number of things can cause this including the original design of the mastopexy incisions or true bottoming out. I would ask your original plastic surgeon. Galaflex with or without adjusting the capsule is the treatment for true bottoming out. I would wait at a minimum 6 months, but realistically 1 year prior to revision surgery. A supportive bra will help with the look of the breasts in clothing, but will not prevent implant migration.

Answer: 3 months post op. Did I bottom out? Do I need a revision surgery? Appears in the series of posted photos there is no real "bottoming" of the revised implanted/lifted breasts. But ONLY in person or virtual consult can allow a determination of your questions.
