Can I lower my eyelid crease with filler? (Photos)

Question

My eyelid crease has gotten higher with age. I had hooded eyes as a child, now there is a heavy crease. Is it possible to lower the crease/ make it smaller with filler? Are there other recommended options?

For significant improvement, hooded eyelids require surgery if there is enough skin. For nonsurgical treatments: Radiofrequency (Thermage or Venus Legacy/Viva), injectable fillers, and a Botox brow lift can help contour the eyebrows and lift the eyelid skin. Hello, based on your photos, you do not want to lower your eyelid crease. Rather, you are likely looking to debulk the extra “weight” on the upper eyelids which is being caused by extra skin. You would do well with an upper blepharoplasty to remove extra skin and have a more defined eyelid crease at its natural position. You do not need filler there as that will only exacerbate the situation. Please see an experienced oculoplastic surgeon for best results.

I would not do filler in that area because of potential injury to your eye. Eyelid surgery could remove some excess fat so that the crease is less noticeable.

Your photos show a normal Asian eyelid crease. You do have some extra upper lid skin which might be approachable surgically.  There is no non surgical solution to address your concerns. You should make an appointment with an ASOPRS affiliated Oculoplastic surgeon for an inversion exam and consultation.
