I downsized my implants and had a lift and internal bra done 11 months ago. I noticed a difference in the incision placement in the inframammary fold soon after and voiced my concern over the left sitting higher. Was told to massage it. It never evened out now the right sits lower and softer. Surgeon wants to charge for revision on top of surgical room/anesthesia fees. Any chance this could still even out? I hate the difference in shape of my breasts.

Answer: Implants You might get the tissue to soften with oral Accolate and external ultrasounds treatments. Otherwise, surgery will be needed to help release the tissue.

Answer: Breast issues All the women have breast asymmetry, and the breast are typically not positioned evenly on the chest wall. Almost all individuals men and women have the left breast sitting higher on the chest wall than the right. The difference is usually about a half inch. It’s a little bit difficult to see what the concern is. I’m assuming the picture in the middle is the most current picture. I always recommend patient discuss revision policy before scheduling surgery with any plastic surgeon. At this point I think your choice is either continue working with your current provider or schedule a second opinion consultation with another provider. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD
