I just got sick, fever of 101, sore throat and small cough 8 days before my surgery. Would I be okay to have my surgery if my fever is gone by next week? Would I be facing extra risks? Not sure when to reach out to my plastic surgeon to notify them in the case I do get better in the next coming days

you should be healthy prior to any elective procedure. Every plastic surgeon has his own preoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.

You need to call your surgeon now and let him/her know about your fever. Also, check yourself for COVID.  You do not want to risk getting the implants infected because you were ill.

Viral upper respiratory illnesses before surgery can potentially be an issue.
The final decision is made by the anesthesiologist.
High fevers, and a productive cough is sometimes enough for anesthesiologist to reschedule surgery.
I highly recommend you contact your provider and discuss with him or her.
 Surgeons typically don’t like surprises.
Most likely you have a cold and and will be fine for your procedure.
If this is Covid or influenza, then you may need to reschedule.
You might want to consider getting tested or talk to your primary care doctor as well.
