Thank you for your question. Your left side implant is displaced superiorly and laterally, and the pocket is closed off medially. This could happen due to capsular contracture when scar tissue forms tightly around the implant, distorting its position and shape. This can be effectively addressed with revision surgery, including capsulotomy, capsulorrhaphy, and implant replacement. Capsulotomy will release the tightened scar tissue around the implant to create more space and allow the implant to sit in the correct position. Capsulorrhaphy will close off the lateral side of the implant pocket to prevent the implant from migrating toward your armpit. A new implant of the same or different size and profile can be used according to your goals and the surgeon’s recommendation. Talk to your surgeon to assess your situation and develop a personalized surgical plan.

I would recommend a revision of the left side to match the right. This would include likely removing the capsule on the left, placing a larger implant, lowering the fold and adding some type of internal support (Galaflex or Strattice etc). I would recommend finding an American Board of Plastic surgery certified plastic surgeon with extensive breast aesthetic surgery experience.

It appears the affected side has suffered a capsular contracture and the implant has migrated superiorly and laterally and the pocket closed off medially. A revision with a new implant, capsulotomy and capsulorrhaphy should correct this.

In person exam is essential as well as review of the op-report -in order to determine the cause of the asymmetry. Once that is determined - a detailed plan to correct it can be created . Keep in mind that the body essentially is asymmetric - but of course improvements can be achieved

Hello and thank you for posting. It seems that there is is either a capsular contraction or the implants did not settle. A capsular contraction is when the the tissue that forms around the implant contracts, gripping the implant progressively tighter and deforming the breasts as it pulls on breast tissue as well. When the implants doesn’t completely settle is usually because the pocket was a bit to tight and the muscle held on to the implant while it was healing. There are masajes and techniques that help the implants settle. Unfortunately, in your case it looks to be too severe and too far along for this to really work.
Regardless of the diagnosis or the reason why, the best and only option is a pocket revision surgery.

It appears that your implant pocket position is too high and lateral on your chest wall, causing the implant to sit under your armpit. There could be only a few reasons this would occur, but an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan would require a physical examination and pre-operative photos, if available.

You have formed a capsule and the implant is restricted in moving and is sitting up too high. go back to your surgeon and discuss a revision.
