I had my surgery 6 months ago, which was a breast lift with implants. I had lost a lot of weight and needed a lift with implants and i also had tubular breasts that were asymmetric. I wanted 300/350cc but surgeon said he couldn’t fit that and opted for 200cc for my left breast as that was thebigger one and 250cc for my right. I have now noticed that my areola/nipples are sitting very high. So much so that i can’t wear certain tops or bras without it showing. Have my implants bottomed out?

Answer: You do have bottoming out Congratulations on your weight loss! Unfortunately you do have bottoming out. After massive weight loss, the skin loses elasticity and strength. Your surgeon was wise to not place larger implants, as the bigger the implant, the more the risk of implant descent and bottoming out. As to the positioning of your areolas, this is a product of the lower pole descending, altering the footprint of the breast, changing the apparent location of the areolas. The best solution likely is to remove the implants, and fold and lift the lower pole and reduce the distance from the areolas to the fold. (6-7 cm). From the photo it looks to be a 12 cm distance at least. I highly doubt that this was not the immediate measurement after surgery, but something that occurred in the healing process. See your surgeon, or another board certified plastic surgeon to remedy this situation.

Answer: Breasts Yes, your whole breasts have dropped and can be lifted so that the nipples appear to be in a good place. I'm sure your nipples are fine, but your breasts have fallen down low. Go back to your surgeon.
