During my consultations, the doctor and I haven’t been able to manipulate the renderings in a way that I like (2d and 3d). Especially with vectra, should I be concerned if I don’t like any renderings? Similarly, if I don’t see any before / after photos I like, does this mean I shouldn’t move forward with surgery?
Answer: Rhinoplasty Do you like the surgeons actual results? If you find fault with the after photos he or she shows I would not want to operate on you. Actual results are more important than computer renderings.

Answer: How accurate are computer renderings of rhinoplasty results? How accurate are computer renderings of rhinoplasty results? My own opinion of computer renderings in general is that they are unreliable. The perfect notice can be rendered electronically every time, but what the patient gets in the operating room may not be quite so good. Of course how reliable they are depends on who is using them and how responsibly they are using them. If someone’s goal is to draw the perfect nose every time, encouraging the patient to go ahead whether or not this is realistic, it would be very unreliable. If on the other hand the surgeon does the rendering taking into account the various limitations that the patient’s own case may present and makes a sincere attempt to be an accurate portrayal , it would be more reliable. For my own part I never use them because I think they have the potential to be misleading. If you don’t like any of the before and after pictures you have been shown, there are two possible reasons. in the first case you may be too choosy , in which case you may not be happy with anything you get. On the other hand if the results you are being shown are not that good and you are recognizing that, then you need a different surgeon.

Answer: How accurate should I expect renderings to be? Digital computer imaging is only an education tool to understand the potential new results that can be achieved. The digital renderings or not a guarantee of results. More importantly is to look at your surgeon's before and after Photo Gallery to make sure that all the results you see on that website are natural looking and you like the results.
