Question

I much prefer the eye on the right side of the photo. I'm 22. Is it possible to create more eyelid space on the eye on the left so that the eyes match?

Your left upper eyelid is slightly lower than the right. First, you need to see a specialist to determine the cause of the lid asymmetry. Surgery to tighten the upper lid can then restore the symmetry. Best to see an eyelid specialist.

The left upper eyelid is more ptotic (heavier) than the right in the photo. If you reversed your photo (don't do this when communicating with surgeons) reverse the sides I will mention. The left upper eyelid fold is higher and has less volume than the right side. That is consistent with what happens to these eyelids with ptosis. That also means in my opinion that you would do best with a an anterior levator ptosis surgery on both sides. A detailed in person assessment is needed to determine how much eyelid platform skin should be controlled. Understand that most of my oculoplastic colleagues will offer you a posterior approach ptosis surgery. I do not believe that will be the right surgery for you even if you respond to the neosynephrine test. Getting these exactly right is fussy and very hard.
