What is wrong with my eyes? Could Botox have caused this? 8 months post op. (photos)

Thank you for your question regarding changes you are seeing in the appearance of your eyes 8 months after your Botox treatment. Because the effects of Botox will wear off by 4 months, it is unlikely the changes you see are due to your treatment. To reassure yourself, a follow up visit at the office where you were treated will allow for after photos so you can compare then and now. Sometimes, using Botox, filler, or any facial treatment can focus your attention to a particular area, and you may notice things previously unnoticed, or see them differently. You might like to consider skin treatments such as products and laser or filler treatment to address the concerns you are seeing now. We do recommend that you receive your facial injectables from practitioners with excellent experience, such as a Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgery practice. Good luck as you move forward.

Not really sure from the photos what is going on. You possibly have mild upper eyelid ptosis, worse in right eye. Also some hollowness. See an oculoplastic specialist for evaluation.

It is unlikely Botox is causing this. At this point, the Botox results have resolved. A combination approach will give the most improvement. Fillers, lasers, and microneedling/PRP can improve around the eyes. My patients try to get non surgical treatments to avoid surgery. We use PRP and stem cells there often. Botox should not cause any effects like this. Any effects botox causes are gone in 3-4 months

Botox should not cause effects in the eyelilds lasting 8 months. But from your photos it is not clear what is bothering you. You should see your original doctor or an oculoplastic specialist. 

Hi.  It is unlikely for Botox to cause any long term effects.  It wears off in 3-4 months entirely.  Botox in the forehead applied too close to the eyebrow can have the side effect of causing the brow to drop or the eyelids to droop, but this effect is not permanent and completely resolves once the Botox is worn out.

Botox does change the way the muscles work around the eye, but it is difficult to answer your question based on the fact that we don't have any photographs of you prior to the treatment. I would try to find similar views of yourself from before the treatment and compare them to the photographs that you have taken recently. The issue seems independent from Botox.

Botox can change the appearance of the eyes depending on where and how much was injected but at 8 months the effects of the rug should have totally gone. i recommend that you see the physician who injected you to compare the pre- and post-injection appearance.
