My lips are still swollen from getting them done 4 days ago and this time I had some bruising as you can see. The side with the bruising is the side that doesn’t seem to lift or get rounder so I am contimplating doing the “lip flip” but would getting this done on both sides just keep the asymmetry?

Answer: Botox for lips Thanks so much for sharing your photos. I personally have a lot of luck with perioral Botox. The orbicularis oris is a circular muscle responsible for pursing and overtime causing inward turning and thinning of lips. Because your issues seems to be not enough eversion of the left lateral upper lip, 2-3 units of Botox can improve that. It’s also very inexpensive and low risk. Typically the Botox only lasts 2-3 months around the lips. I agree with other physician though as well to wait till swelling goes down. Regardless, you’re lips still look amazing!

Answer: Lip Injections Thanks so much for your photos and question. I recommend that you wait 2 weeks prior to making any decisions to correct any asymmetries you may have. At that time, most swelling and bruising should have subsided and then you're okay to concentrate more on the side with less volume/border. Touch ups are common when doing lips and sometimes optimal results are achieved in 2 stages. All the best!
