Volift under eye; Will this ever disappear? Can this be permanent damage? (Photos)

Thank you for your question regarding Juvéderm Volift®. If that is Volift under your eyes (which was presumably done outside of the US - as it is not yet released here), it is a hyaluronic acid. This means the product can be dissolved with some hyaluronidase, so I would recommend seeing your provider to have this taken care of. You may need more than one treatment. There are better products to be used in that area, after this settles down.

Thank you for sharing your question and photograph.  Based on the timing since your treatment I would advocate for having your injector dissolve the Volift with hyaluronidase.  This will help dissolve the bump while hopefully not completely dissolving the filler placed.

dermal filler used to enhance moderate to severe wrinkles on the face. Outside of the United States Vollure also goes by the name Volift. The lighting in these photographs is very dark, making it difficult to assess. If residual bumps remain after several months it can be dissolved. We have our patients return to our office if they have any such concerns. Please

Thank you for your question and for submitting your photos.  I'm sorry to hear that you're unhappy with the results of your filler treatment.  From the date of your question, it appears that you were injected with Volift prior to its FDA-approval in the United States (it's now marketed as Vollure here in the US).  Were you injected in the US or abroad?  If you were injected with authentic Volift abroad, it can be dissolved with hyaluronidase.  Volift is a somewhat robust filler, and it may require more than 1 session of hyaluronidase to fully dissolve the nodule.That said, it would be more concerning if you were injected locally.  Prior to FDA-approval, it was essentially illegal to import or inject Volift here in the United States.  There are a number of dubious retailers selling discounted fillers from abroad online - in many cases, these products have been found to be counterfeit or contaminated.  If this was injected in the US, there's really no way of knowing what was actually used.  I would recommend following up with a cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon to discuss your concerns.  Best of luck.        

The use of Volift for under the eyes is probably not the best choice.  You should use a thinner product such as Volbella for this area.  If it has persisted for 7 months I would suggest seeing your injector and possibly consider dissolving it to see if that improves things.

Difficult to see how any long lasting damage could occur but it is an odd choice of filler. In the USA you have Volbella and I think Redensity II which is very good.
If you go to someone experienced they could probably inject just enough hyalase to make them go down a bit but not completely. 
It is pretty easy to do. I have to correct probably one bad eyefiller per week done in other clinics in the UK.

I assume you got this done out of the U.S. because Volift isn't a filler that's approved here. That being said, Volift is an HA filler so it can be dissolved. It can take a few rounds to get it all out.
