What treatment is appropriate for a 22 year old with visible nasolabial folds? (Photo)

I’ve had nasolabial folds - being more defined and deep on the left side (photo) - since I was a teenager! According to what I know, it’s caused by facial structure and a lack of volume in the cheeks. Since I’m only 22 y/old, what treatments are most appropriate for me? What safe options are there out there?

Hi @Elisa_22! I would recommend Morpheus 8 for you. Morpheus8 is a non-surgical treatment for full body skin resurfacing, skin tightening, and fat reduction of stubborn areas. start with fillers and skin tightening.
For facial rejuvenation,  I would suggest a combination approach of 
1) skin care with products and PRP/microneedling
2) PDT light therapy few times a month with growth factors
3) laser treatments like clear and brilliant regularly and a few times a year Fraxel/halo Viva, Co2/Erbium
4) Sculptra injections a few times a year for collagen production with fillers like juvederm/restylane/belotero/radiesse/bellafill
5) thermage/ultherapy for yearly skin tightening with or without PDO or cone based instalift threads for lifting
6) botox every 2-3 months to stop movement lines and prevent lines at rest
7) deep microneedling RF like Fractora/morpheus8 for tightening of the skin
8) Vascular laser like vbeam/excel V or BBL forever young treatment every quarter (3-4 months)

Hi Elisa!There are a few nonsurgical options to help reduce the appearance of nasolabial folds. You can do dermal fillers containing lift properties such a Restylane Lyft. Often times fillers in the cheeks also help to reduce appearance by giving the mid face the support needed. If you're looking for a more permanent solution, you can discuss a potential fat transfer to the area.  Just make sure you see a board certified provider for further evaluation, as everyone is different!Best of Luck!

It appears to me that injectable fillers could be used to improve your nasolabial fold.  Examining your entire face would be helpful to determine the best placement of the filler to benefit your nasolabial fold.

Hello,
You are young and you can keep it simple.  In my hands I would use one syringe of regular Restylane using a micro injection technique on the smile lines and the wrinkle at the corner of your mouth.  You have beautiful skin that will lift easily.  You could do this once per year and it would stimulate your collagen and help prevent deeper folds.  Hope this helps!

A photo of both side with smile and without smile will help. Yes fillers could help the folds, just be careful not to overfill, because if you  want to abolish the folds completely that could cause overfilling.

Hello there,
    Based on the photo  included, I would recommend a combination of injections. A tiny bit of filler should be injected in the lateral cheek to draw the tissue up and back. This should soften the fold slightly. I then would inject the actual fold with filler. Most patients do need cheek filler when this issue is present, but in your case, volume loss does not seem to be the issue. I love Defyne in this area due to its' elastic feature. This makes it very natural-looking, and it will move with your facial expressions. I hope this helps.
