Dr. Callahan is gentle, professional, and personal. She takes her time so you feel comfortable yet is quick and pain free. She is an expert and is continuously educated with the highest standards in skincare. I feel that I am in the best hands possible in her care. My visit today was relaxing and I felt welcomed from the time I stepped off the elevator. Excellent staff and great vibe at Skinsmart Dermatology. Very pleased.
Dr. Callahan is wonderful with injectables! She treated my forehead and crows feet wrinkles with Dysport and the results are fantastic. I've had Botox done at another physician's office previously and the results weren't as nice looking and the injections hurt more. Dr. Callahan uses separate small syringes/needles for each injection spot, which seems to be why the injections with her are pain free (no dulling of the tips)! I highly recommend her!
She was honest and realistic in her recommendations for me. I appreciate that so much. For the injectables, she was quick and painless! Her staff is warm and welcoming, she gets down to business. LOVED IT.
Long story short: It is so worth it!! Do your research first. Find a dermatologist who is experienced with injectables but also is knowledgable about recreating the ideal composition of the face. When you go in for your appointment, a numbing creme is applied. Then after about 20 minutes, the injections. I didn't feel any discomfort until the day after when I had to start my massaging regime -5min , 5x a day for 5 days. After the initial swelling goes down (no one noticed by the way!) everything kind of goes back to normal. After 4-5 weeks I started seeing my temples plumping up. No bumps, just the hollow areas filling back out. I am so happy that I did this for myself! The hardest part really is just making yourself go in there for the consultation because it feels weird talking to people about your sad temples or whatever. I didn't initially plan to share my experience but when I was thinking about Sculptra injections I frequented this site quite a bit. That being said, I do not have pictures but I will see if I can find a before and after.
Just had ultherapy today. The meds given before procedure were very much needed! It was extremely painful. I do not think I could have tolerated it otherwise. The doctor's staff was extremely kind and caring and did their best to comfort me. I am told my results will occur gradually over 90 days+ so I'm looking forward to seeing the outcome. I had been researching procedures and decided on ultherapy because of the cost plus no down time! I'll be posting pics of my before and after!
I didn't even know what I needed?? As a woman in my mid-fortys, I was experiencing changes in my face and it looked like my face was drooping and was starting to have the overall look of a very drawn face. After a full consultation with Dr. Callahan, she recommended Radiesse filler to lift my cheeks, which would eliminate the droop and make my face more youthful. I was so petrified to do this - not because I didn't trust Dr. Callahan because I absolutely do and that is why I did the procedure! While I have used filler and botox in other areas of my face for years, I was worried I would have chubby cheeks afterwards. JUST THE OPPOSITE! I look like I have natural, beautiful cheek bones and my face does not look drawn now. I am all about the look of natural and Dr. Callahan hit the spot with this recommendation! She actually hits the spot of all of her recommendations when it comes to me. I am optimistic that Dr. Callahan has the right services and expertise to where I could avoid any surgical procedure in an effort to make my skin and/or face more youthful. Painless, Easy, Quick and no down-time.
Congratulations on your weight loss. I like others would take a full 360 approach - a non-surgical combination would include: Ultherapy to face and neck for tightening, followed by filler and medical grade skincare. In my office we package this whole treatment at a substantial savings and it is done over two office visits. Hope this helps.
Hi There, It seems that the primary question is about your left cheek. There is definitely an asymmetry between the left and the right side. I think filler in the left cheek would work really well - I would use Restylane Lyft or other similar product. I think you would get a great result without going to surgery (where potentially you might not like the results). You are young and have great skin - a filler will work great!
In my experience diuretics do not affect filler duration. I work in Florida and i see an older population with many patients on diuretics to control their blood pressure. I see no difference on filler duration.
We have been using Ultherapy in our practice for about 7 years. The key is a having a consultation with an experienced Ultherapy provider who can decide if you are a good candidate. It will never replace a facelift, but can be a nice option for somebody who does not want surgery. The results last about 2 years and most people who benefit from Ultherapy do it every 2-3 years. I personally use it every year to keep things nice and tight. I love precision that ultrasound provides.
Sculptra filler would work well. Sculptra is a filler that stimulates you own collagen and lasts two years. It creates a very natural result.
