Thank you for your picture and questions. You seem to be a good candidate for Kybella. However, remember that most patients get the best and desired results from multiple treatments with the product. After a treatment, the swelling can last for 4-6 weeks. Hope this helps!

As the other injectors have mentioned, it all depends.  Some patients are swollen for the first 1-2 days, other for 1-2 weeks.  Ultimately, the swelling will resolve regardless and results can be seen in 6-8 weeks.  Hope this helps and best of luck!

Swelling will gradually resolve, but can last up to 6 weeks. Keep in mind, most people need more than one treatment with Kybella. Hope this helps.

Swelling post Kybella treatment can last up till six weeks even though the majority of the swelling will be gone much much sooner.

Dear Milyus,Kybella typically takes 3 to 5 treatments to work. This is why I've stopped carrying Kybella in my office.  I recommend neck liposuction more often then any injectable procedure for the neck now. It provides superior results gives me more control over the area than any injectable.  It also costs about the same as what you paid for your first kybella session. The liposuction can be done under local while awake in the office and recovery is about the same as kybella.Daniel Barrett, MD

I appreciate the photo too as this helps us evaluate your case.  In our clinic we usually see swelling that can last from a week up to 3 weeks.  Patients responses vary and the dosing/technique can affect that response.  if lasts beyond 3 weeks this is reason for concern.  I will you all the best.

Most people do develop temporary swelling after a Kybella treatment under the chin, and this swelling can last several days to a week or so.

Thank you for your question. The short answer is, it depends. Some patients have a fairly severe reaction for the first 24-48 hours after the injection, which quickly subsides; others state they look swollen for 1-2 weeks. It can be difficult to predict.

In our experience, Kybella swelling may occur for 1-2 weeks.  The degree of swelling is highly variable between patients.
We start seeing results after 3-4 weeks & repeat treatment, if necessary, after 8 weeks.
Most of our patients will receive 1-3 treatments.  
Other parts of the body that respond well to Kybella are “bra fat” in the upper-outer quadrant of the breast, love handles, around the belly button, inner & outer thighs... to name a few!
