Either Kybella, CoolMini, or liposuction could remove your submental fat. All have slight skin-tightening effects. I’ve used Kybella successful in the jowls, too. However, you do have a fair amount of skin laxity, so depending on the kinds of results you want, I’d also recommend treatment with Ultherapy or ThermiTight. Consulting a board-certified dermatologist will let you get more information about your particular issues and choose the best therapy.
Both Kybella or neck liposuction are good options and will improve the double chin. It depends on your lifestyle and personality which would be better for you. Kybella is best for patients that:1) Do not want surgery 2) Are not surgical candidates 3) Not willing to wear a compression dressing around the face for 1 week 4) Patient- The results of Kybella will take monthsKybella take 1-3 treatments every 6 weeks. Patient will develop swelling and possible bruising after each injection that may last a few days. The benefit of Kybella is each treatment is quick and completed in the office. However, some patients need more than one treatment to get desired results. Neck Liposuction is best for patients that:1) Want a single treatment 2) One recovery time- Downtime for neck liposuction require wearing a wrap around face for 1 week. 3) Less painful 4) Quicker results 5) Cost is a concernNeck liposuction is a quick surgical procedure that can be complete while the patient is awake. It cost around the same price a Kybella and can be less in patients with heavier necks. The single recovery of neck liposuction may be a better option for some patients.I hope this helps.
Kybella could be used to reduce fat under your chin, but it will not help with the sagging skin in your neck and lower face. A facelift, with liposuction under your chin, would give you the most improvement to these areas.
Thank you for your pictures and questions. While Kybella can treat areas of fat excess in the submental area (double chin) it is not FDA indicated for treatment in other areas and does not treat skin excess. Based on your photos, I think you would be much better treated with a more invasive and complete surgical option such as a facelift/necklift. See a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area to see if you would be a good candidate for such a procedure.Good luck!
Kybella is good for improving a double-chin. Keep in mind, a combination approach is needed to get the most improvement with non-invasive options like Kybella. I recommend Kybella with thermage, ultherapy, exilis. VASER liposuction in combination with ThermiRF is a great alternative for contouring the chin, if you're a candidate and can be performed at the same time as a neck lift. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer
Kybella is like a liquid surgery when it comes to dissolving fat, but it can also cause damage if it is injected in too deep or too superficial. Since you are saying you are in a great shape, get evaluated by an expert cosmetic surgeon/physician to assess the density and location of...
Dear TZ5256,Kybella typically takes 3 to 5 treatments to work. This is why I've stopped carrying Kybella in my office. I recommend neck liposuction more often then any injectable procedure for the neck now. It provides superior results gives me more control over the area than any injectable. ...
Kybella injected into submental fat is a great treatment for fat reduction. Some patients require more than one session depending on the amount of fat to be destroyed, but results can be appreciated right after the first session. It is normal for some patients to experience redness, swelling f...
