Teeth aren't straight and the bite is off after 3 years of braces, considering Invisalign. What are my options? (Photo)

HI, thanks for sending your question and your pictures. The movements necessary to achieve straight  teeth are very predictable movements with Invisalign and I have treated hundreds of cases very similar to yours in the last 16+ years with Invisalign.  You should only consider laser recontouring of the gums after completion of orthodontics, due to the fact that often when the teeth are moved the gum tissues move with the teeth and you may not need the laser as much as you think currently.I am confident your final results will look spectacular! Find and experienced orthodontist, get braces.  Invisalign can work but the movement you need on the upper right front tooth is the most difficult for invisalign.  An experienced lingual orthodontist could probably correct your problem in 9 months or less.  Lots of orthodontists in your area.  Worth driving a while to find a good one for a case like yours.  

Although Invisalign is awesome for many, many cases....for yours it is not.   Your main concern is the front tooth.  It needs the root to be torqued in.  That is a movement Invisalign does not do so well.  In the hands of a skilled orthodontist (dental specialist) this is an easy movement to make with braces.  In addition, there are other issues I see that make the bite not fit properly...that are best addressed with fixed braces.  For example, look at the angle of your upper left canine.  The root is too far forward.  Possibly the same thing for your upper lateral incisors.  Again see an AAO-member orthodontist who has the skill, knowledge, and experience to fix these issues with confidence.  As Dr. McDonald said, clear ceramic or even lingual braces are a good way to go.
