I've told my dentist a tooth hasn't moved at all but she says it's fine. My treatment is over in 2 weeks? (Photo)

Thanks for sending the photo.  As you can see from the photo you have a gap between your tooth and your tray on the lateral. Your lateral is thus not tracking.   Lateral teeth are the toughest to move.  (You wonder why, they are the smallest tooth - seems it would be easiest!)  You will need a  refinement. They are free and built into your treatment. Ask for dentist to get chewies so that you can push those teeth into your trays. If your Dr. does not have chewies, ask her to talk to her rep who can get them for her.  They are great for moving hard teeth.  Good luck

They are free and built into your treatment by AlignTech, the company that supplies Invisalign treatments.  And then you will need to track those teeth really carefully.  Ask for chewies so that you can push those teeth into your trays. If your Dr. does not have chewies, ask her to talk to her INV and get them for you.  They are the perfect helper for hard to move teeth.  Good luck with this!

A tooth that has ankylosed (fused to the bone) won't move no matter what you do.  In these cases, we move all the other teeth and then crown/veneer the misaligned tooth (if possible).  If the location of the fused tooth is TOO far misplaced, a consult with the oral surgeon may be needed to have the tooth removed and the bone grafted for an implant.  There IS a solution, but it may be creative.
